NAVA Tech Services Strategic Planning – using both strategic planning process and project management; design and develop community, organization, or information technology strategic and tactical (action or implementation) plan. Public Speaker and Presenter – Native American cultural, education, and motivational speaker. A variety of audiences: Elders circle, Native youth, tribal communities and organizations. Technology and Telecommunication workshops, conferences, and key-note speaker (i.e., IT Gaming Management, IT Project Management, IT Infrastructure, IT Contracts and Procurement). Presenter at 2006 National Indian Gaming Association Conference, 2006 Federal Communication Commission Tribal Conference, 2005 Tribal Net Conference, 2005 National Tribal Finance Conference, and 2005 California State Native American Day. Legislative Support and Advocate services – provide strategy for working with and educating legislative representatives at federal, state and local levels. Conduct legislative analysis for proposed laws, policies, and propositions (see NAVATech Legislative page). Information Technology Strategies and Solutions – provide strategic planning for Tribal Administration, Tribal Gaming Integration, and Native American Communities and Organization system. Internet, Web based solutions, infrastructure, security, ethics, and operational recovery. As former CIO for California Conservation Corps, experience with Federal and State government IT environments. Former member of National State CIO Association and Government Technology Conference (GTC) Advisor. Information Technology - Casino and Tribal Systems - assist with gaming management, poker management, bingo management, hospitality/hotel, inventory, customer relations, financial, tribal membership management systems and integration strategies. National Indian Gaming Regulatory - Minimum Internal Controls for Technology and Gaming Systems - assist with development of IT Policies and Procedures to meet the NIGC MICS for IT. Assist with meeting Gaming IT regulatory audit findings and reporting. Emergency Response Planning – based on California State Emergency Management System (SEMS), evaluate and recommend proactive emergency response planning and activities. Grant Writer and Researcher – provide narrative and research for grant writing opportunities for Native American communities and organization: Health, Housing, Education, Technology, Environment, and Cultural/Language Preservation justification, narrative, budgeting, and project planning for grant funding (see NAVATech Grants page) Leadership and Governance - Tribal Council, Administration, Community and government-to-government assessment and evaluation. Strategic guidance on methods and process to improve governance. Workshops, Meeting reviews, policy and process evaluation, and survey designs. Consultant with DCI American (PDF File format) - providing leadership and communication workshops. Conflict Resolution
– targets a variety of levels for conflict resolution. Using “Systems
Thinking”, self-development, and Team interaction process; identify
and assess challenges, obstacles, and solutions for managing conflict. |
